Nuran Tever was born in Istanbul, Turkiye. She is currently completing her BFA at University of North Texas at Denton. Her identity as a Turkish immigrant in America influences her painting and artistic narration. She was self-taught in acrylic paint, but has transitioned her work into oil paint throughout her education at UNT. Her interest in literature is reflected in her art through collages including her poetry, and paintings with symbolic narrative qualities.
She is presently working on a portfolio depicting grief through shapes and forms. Influences include; abstraction, surrealism, symbolism, and her Turkish-Mediterranean culture. Her work can be found on her instagram at @nuran.tever.
